‘Tis the season for Stallion Service Auctions (“SSA”) in North America, and the KWPN-NA 2023 SSA does not disappoint! Last year, this registry fundraiser took in record proceeds, thanks to all of your dedicated support and participation. Let’s do it again!
This year, there are 56 listings in the SSA (WOW!). With a list that long, there is certain to be a stallion for any mare needing a match this Spring. You’ll find stallions with long performance and offspring history, proven and qualified as top breeding candidates. You will also find a couple new and exciting young up-and-coming stallions to provide fresh blood for your program! Whatever you are on the hunt for this year, be sure to browse the listings and bid away, knowing that your funds are going to support important Registry functions!
The KWPN-NA Stallion Service Auction – From the Registry:
The Annual Stallion Service Auction helps the KWPN of North America underwrite the many programs offered to its members and breeders; including educational opportunities and member awards as a result of the annual Keuring tour and performance in sport. The Futurity is also funded with SSA Proceeds.
Benefits of supporting the KWPN-NA SSA include:
- Potential discount on stud fees to world class stallions, and supporting this breed association at the same time
- The highest bidder of the entire 2023 Stallion Service Auction shall receive a free foal registration
- The highest placed foal at our Keuring from an Auction stallion receives an award
- Foals produced from Auction breedings presented in 2024 at the annual Keuring tour receive free entry to our Foal Futurity

The KWPN-NA provides the following benefits for stallion service auction donors (important considerations for a donation for future SSAs):
- Donated before 1/1, then the stallion(s) will be on flyer on social media and website so constant promotion for a month
- Individual promo post about the donated stallion(s) on all our social media channels about SSA at least twice (once before and once during)
- Extensive post on the auction site with all relevant information (provided by donor), 4 pictures and links to videos
- 50% discount on activation costs per stallion for 2024
- A free membership per donated stallion for 2024
- Breeders get free entry to the Stallion Offspring Futurity the following year (with extra promotion for the stallion)
This SSA utilizes an online auction format that is simple, easy, and intuitive to navigate and place your bids. Payments are all made effortless through these online auction platforms, and all the information you need to know about each participating stallion is right there at your fingertips! When the auction ends, the registry connects each auction winner with the stallion owners to facilitate the contract exchange.
