Derryinver Luxury Cruise (“Luxy”) is a 16.2hh registered Irish Sport Horse stallion by Lux Z, out of Icing by Cruising. Currently standing stud in Ontario, with reliable shipping throughout Canada and USA.
Luxy has had a successful international career in show jumping up to Grand Prix 1.55m, with wins and numerous top 5 placings. He represented and placed for the Irish Studbook at the World Breeders Federation for Sport Horses as a 6-year-old, and his career included over 60 international level competitions in Europe. He retired from his career completely sound and was imported to North America in 2020. As a result of the top quality of his first North American foal crops, many breeders are repeating their crosses with Luxy to produce their next top competition sporthorse or breeding prospect!
Luxy is ridden by his owner, Emma Elley, who said Luxy is a dream to own and ride, he is an absolute gentleman. He lives at the family farm and continues to enjoy jumping, dressage and hacking. We are now working on fine tuning his dressage skills. We are planning his dressage ring debut in 2023! Offspring in Ireland
Emma Elley, Luxy’s owner, provided us with the following information about Luxy’s older progeny in Ireland. His older offspring are jumping the 1.20m now, and bringing home top placements! We expect to hear more news of their accomplishments as they continue to develop up the standards!
Cruising Over the River (2016)
Cruising Over the River is from the foal crop in 2016 in Ireland, out of an Indoctro mare (Moortown Indy). She has a sweet temperament and is very athletic. She was introduced to jumping courses as a four-year-old. In Summer 2021, as a five-year-old, she competed in her first registered show, placing 6th out of 41 competitors.
From her owner:
“She will be 7 this year. Broke at 4, but we lost 2 years with COVID. She is jumping 1.10 at shows now. She has a lot of scope.”
Cornascriebe Derryinver (2016)
Cornascriebe Derryinver is from the first crop of foals in 2016 by Derryinver Luxury Cruise out of a Cavalier Royale mare. At four-years-old, he was jumping 1m courses at home and competing in 0.80m classes. In Summer 2021, as a five-year-old gelding, he reached the finals of the youngster tour in Mullingar. He is now competing at 1.10m with his rider Jessica McConnell.
Dullerton High Tide (2016)
Dullterton High Tide is a 7-year old bay gelding owned and bred by Stephen Lowry and currently competing at 1.20m with his rider Simon Scott.

Amy’s remarks on Morrigan’s after her First Place performance in the two-year-old Jump Chute at the Snowdownia Young Horse Show in April 2023:
“Morrigan was Luxy’s first foal in the U.S. so I try to get updates to Emma every time we have an outing. She was originally for sale, but that changed quickly lol! The judge really loved her attitude and thought she was “a lovely eventing/sporthorse type.”
From the editor: I met this filly personally at the Snowdonia YHS show in Texas. She is impressive in stature, with a temperament best described as willing and confident. Morrigan stood quietly awaiting her turn through the jump chute, eagerly making new friends with the audience. As a two-year-old, she is very well-developed and correct in her legs and topline. It is easy to see that she has the promise to make an excellent riding horse and competitor in her near future! Congrats to Amy on this breeding and top show results!

Our plans for Eila include participating in cup qualifiers for the RAWF. We are going to campaign her as a jumper eventually as that’s where her talents will surely lie. Maybe eventually breed her and or sell her. We shall see, her options are endless.”
