With breeding season in full swing and Louisville’s summer show goals met, Hilltop Farm has made the decision to extend his cooled semen season. Louisville will now be available via cooled semen through July 31st via either a 1-Season or Per Dose Cooled contract.
Hilltop Farm’s young homebred stallion Louisville HTF (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) continues to fulfill all the high expectations set for him. Last fall, Louisville placed 2nd at the NA Stallion Sport Test with an overall score of 8.35 and 9s for his amazing canter and rideability. He’s carried that momentum forward into 2022. His show season started early with wins at the Palm Beach Derby and Global Dressage Festival. His undefeated record has continued up north and Louisville now stands 2nd in the country with a median score over 74% at First Level.
Louisville has two jobs though and of equal importance is his breeding season. Managing the roles of both a breeding stallion and a show horse simultaneously can be a challenge for many stallions, but Louisville seems to handle his two jobs with ease.
Louisville’s oldest offspring are turning 1 year old this spring and receiving excellent feedback from those owners. Louisville’s outgoing, confident character comes through strongly, as well as his expressive gaits. With inspections tours just beginning, we anxiously await feedback and results from the upcoming inspections for the 2022 foals as well.
